Tone plays at 100 Hz
How it works
Wired or Bluetooth, AirPods or over-ear. The tone is delivered directly to your ears, not through the car speaker.
Set a session between 40 and 120 seconds. The default of 60 seconds works for most situations. Tap to start.
Relief can begin quickly and last up to two hours. Repeat the session whenever you need it.
The research
Research from Nagoya University published in 2024 found that specific low-frequency sound reduced motion-induced disorientation in subjects reading in a moving vehicle.
The proposed mechanism involves the cochlea's sensitivity at very low frequencies overlapping with vestibular inputs, providing a stabilizing signal to the vestibulo-cochlear system.
VestiCalm delivers a 100 Hz sine wave tone, sitting at the lower boundary of comfortable human hearing where saccular hair cells, known to respond to low-frequency vibration and sound pressure, are most relevant.
VestiCalm is a wellness aid. It is not a medical device and makes no therapeutic claims.
